How to play

• One year is hidden. Every clue was true at some point during that year.
• The first clue fits only that year, and it is a hard one. Know it or reason it out, and you win in one guess.
• After that, each wrong guess shows the full span of years the current clue was true, and its bar joins the timeline.
• The bright part of each bar is where all the bars overlap. The year is in there.
• Each guess is underlined: yellow if it fit the clue you were shown, grey if it did not, green if it was the year.
• You get six guesses. The last clue also fits only one year.
• Your score is out of 1,000. Solving in fewer guesses earns the most, and each miss earns up to 25 for how close it was. Closeness stays hidden until the end.
